Synopsis
The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty


The story that I was read is The Secret Life of Walter Mitty by James Thurber. He likes to imagine something that we could not even think.  He is ordinary man, who have a wife, Mrs. Mitty.  He was a driver for his wife whenever his wife want to go shopping and beauty boutique, he willing to send.  He likes to imagine something was rare when he was driving.  Walter Mitty also cannot handle simple mechanical tasks and he forget things easily.  The special about him is his imagination.  The first imagination is he becomes as a pilot of Navy hydroplane.  He was driving at that time and want to send his wife to salon.  Walter Mitty does not even care of his wife talking about.  Second, he was imagine being a famous surgeon that save VIP's life.  After he sees of photos of German plane, he was imagine to be British pilot that willing to sacrifice his life for his country.  Last, he was fantasizes that he become firing squad during his wife buy something at drugstore.  This story was end when Walter Mitty waiting for his romantic death.

What are the moral values that you have learnt from the short story?
The moral values that I learnt from this story is do not fantasizes during drive a car.  For example, Walter Mitty likes to imagine something when he driving.  It is very dangerous because it can risk himself and other people life.  So it is not good to imagine something when you drive.
Next, as a wife we should respect our husband.  For example, Mrs. Mitty should not ordering her husband if she needs any help.  She should ask her husband nicely.

My favourite character in this story is Walter Mitty.  I interest with his because he willing to send his wife everywhere when his wife to go.  He never sigh even though his wife like to order.
Beside that, Walter Mitty have a good imagination.  The all of his imagination is very positive things.  For example, he imagine that he become to be a pilot that willing to sacrifice his life for his country. Other than that, he imagine that he become a famous surgeon and become firing squad.  All of his imagination bring toward help others and positive thing.

An alternate ending to this story is must be better and more interesting.  Mrs. Mitty like to give order at her husband, Mr. Mitty.  Mrs. Mitty not understand with her husband.  Her husband like to imagine good and positive thing only not a bad thing.  I want Mrs. Mitty accept her husband life.

The short story that I was read is The Open Window by H. H.Munro (Saki).  This story tell about the man, Framton Nuttel that has moved to the country on his doctor's advice to effect a cure for a nervous condition.  His sister has lived in the area that he visits.  His sister is Mrs. Sappleton a widowed stateand her daughter name is Vera.  Framton Nuttel cannot do violent physical exercise because he is sick.  Vera tells some information about the family at Framton Nuttel.  She says, three years ago, Mrs. Sappleton's husband and two younger brothers went on a hunting trip.  They never come back.  Mrs. Sappleton enters, she tell expects her husband and brothers to return at any moment.  His become frightened and leaves in a rush.  Mrs Soppleton not understand why he do like that.  It is because Vera make a wrong story.

What are the moral values that you have learnt from the short story?
The moral values that I have learnt from this story is do not credulous stories from others.  For example, Framton Nuttel easy to trust Vera's story.  He is a new people that migrate to rural retreat.  So he did not know the story at the new place.  He is very easy to trust while he did not know a real story.  In the conclusion, as a human we cannot trust easily a new people that come from your life.
Next, the moral values that I learnt in this story is showing patience.  After Framton Nuttel know the story that Vera is lied, he still patient and not angry with her.  It is because he know that Vera is still young.  Framton Nuttel think that Vera is very amusing girl.

My favourite character in this story is Vera.  Vera is a young children that very clever and very interesting girl.  She clever to make inventive story while she is still young.  Framton Nuttel easy trust and believe Vera's story.  And Mrs. Sappleton also fooled by Vera's story.

An alternate ending to this story is Framton Nuttel was pretending sick.  Everyone do not know to do something because everyone feel fear of this situation.  Vera feel guilty and want to say sorry to all because make a story but she think she did not having time to say sorry to Framton Nuttel.  Actually, Framton Futtel to see reaction of Vera if he in sick.  Vera feel regret because many mistakes she do.

The Necklace

The story that I was read is The Necklace by Guy de Maupassant.  This story tells about the life of one girl, Mathilde Loisel.  She is very pretty and charming girl.  She was married of to a little clerk in the Ministry of Education.  She has one wealthy friend, Madame Foresties.  One night, her husband return home proudly bearing an invitation to a formal party.  But Madame Loisel cries because she said she do not have any dress.  Madame Loisel was upset by her reaction and asks how much a suitable dress would cost.  The dress is very expensive and her husband was quiet.  After get a dress, she want jewels.  But her husband do not have any money.  So her husband implores her to visit Madame Forestier to borrow jewels.  And she agree to give borrow.  The necklace that Madame Loisel borrow is missing.  She and her husband was worried and want to replace a new necklace.  But the necklace is very expensive and they must borrow the money from others.  They do heavy work to give the necklace but the end Madame Foresties said the necklace only imitation.

How do you feel after reading the story?

I feel sad and pity with Madame Loisel and her husband after I read this story.  They must work   and lose everything because the necklace that she lend from Madame Forestier was missing.  She was panicked after the necklace missing and she only think to repay the debt at Madame Forestier.  Madame Loisel and her husband must work hard to buy a new diamond necklace.  The price is very expensive.  The truly, Madame Loisel must ask apologize to Madame Forestier.  She must explain at Madame Forestier that she unintentional to lost the necklace.  At the end, Madame Forestier tell that the necklace only imitation and not expensive.

Write the ending of the story.

The ending of this story is Madame Loisel was shock because the Necklace that she lend is only imitation.  She was regretted because she did not to ask apologize from Madame Forestier.  Madame Loisel also accepting that all happened to her.  Madame Forestier it is very kind person.  She look that Mathilde Loisel is very poor with her.  Madame Forestier willing to give the necklace at Mathilde Loisel back.  She said the necklace is not mind, it is your mind Madame Loisel,  So that, Mathilde Loisel cry of delight because have people that very kind like her,  She is very thankful to God.

Who is your favourite character and why do you like the character?

My favourite character is Madame Forestier.  Why I like the character it is because she is very kind person.  She willing to borrow her jewels at Madame Loisel.  She asking her to choose from the jewels.  But Mathilde Loisel see a superb diamond necklace so she take and borrow the necklace.  Other than that, Madame Forestier is a patient person.  Eventhough she know Mathilde Loisel over loss her necklace but she not angry with her.  She is very good woman and I want all people was example her.
